Petits Cadors becomes COSY CLUB

Petits Cadors devient COSY CLUB

Like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, we change our name so we can spread our wings and fly even further. But rest assured, nothing changes except the name.

Why the name change?

Because 7 years after the family trip during which we invented ISIDOR - the car cushion - the brand's first, the family anecdote has become a real manufacturing brand, with strong values and a full range of comfort cushions.

The name – Petits Cadors – was chosen during a family discussion with our children. At that time, we were looking for a name that might evoke a family of cushions. We also wanted the name to end with the syllable “dor,” which could suggest sleeping or resting.

Today, the anecdote has become a manufacturing brand :

  • A 360 m² workshop in Nailloux (31)
  • 20,000 cushions to be manufactured by 2025
  • 8 patented or registered designs
  • Unique expertise

In summary, today we feel a little cramped in the role of Little Champions and we need to regain our ease in order to continue to grow .

Why Cosy Club?

For two main reasons : its ability to correctly suggest the brand's universe (comfort, cocooning, well-being) and its accessibility to start offering our cushions to other European countries.

As an aside , we've sometimes had amusing exchanges with customers or simply visitors passing by our workshop or our stand at trade shows: "Petits Cadors...do you sell dog food?" - "Petits Cadors...do you make children's clothing?" etc...

For a brand , it is vital that its name evokes the products it sells or the field in which it offers its products or services. We believe this change was necessary to avoid potential confusion and to better define ourselves .

The word “cosy” comes from 19th-century England, where it was first used as a noun to refer to the “tea cosy” (teapot cover), a fabric accessory designed to keep tea warm. It has since become international and a popular adjective to describe a “ cozy ” place.
That's exactly the feeling we wanted to convey when evoking our range of soft and ergonomic cushions.

The word “club” originates from the Viking language. It originally referred to a heavy object used as a tool, which the English language adopted to mean the act of gathering in a group. By extension, it came to mean the act of “pooling resources” and was adopted in France during the French Revolution (e.g., the Jacobin Club).
For us, it evokes a community that comes together around a common philosophy: a way of life that simply consists of believing that there is nothing wrong with feeling good !

For us, the fusion of these two words, long integrated into the French language (1910 for "cosy" and 1789 for "club"), ideally reflects what the brand has become today: a manufacturing workshop rich in unique know-how that offers a range of unique cushions, ready to continue improving the comfort of everyone, even beyond France.

Welcome to the club. Welcome to Cosy Club.
