Démarche éco-responsable

What is Cosy Club doing to limit its waste and its impact on the planet?

Que fait Cosy Club pour limiter ses déchets et son impact sur la planète ?

Our daily motivation is to contribute to the preservation of our planet . We do our best by producing better and throwing away less .
On this World Cleanup Day , or more commonly known as " world clean up day ", we felt it was necessary to tell you about our actions.

What if we went around to each workstation in the workshop to understand the role of each person in our eco-responsible approach?

Trendy, French and responsible fabrics; is it possible?

It all starts with the choice of fabrics. We choose them following fashion, according to the seasons, but we are careful to respect our desire for a short supply chain , that is to say, by seeking out French partners.
Our autumn collection will be released soon and features 45% of fabrics made from recycled and organic raw materials !

Is there any loss during the cutting process?

When our nimble fingers get to work, nothing escapes their notice! Oh yes, because you might not know this, but everything is made right here in our beloved southwest. Every detail is meticulously planned down to the millimeter. Our seamstresses optimize fabric usage, striving to minimize waste . And even if it does happen, we've thought of everything! These lovely little scraps are saved and used to make accessories : headbands , zippered pouches , keychains . Or they're donated to schools and recreation centers (just like the cardboard tubes our fabrics were rolled on) to make your Mother's Day gifts, for example—a nice change from macaroni necklaces! 😉 Zero-waste technique approved!
Sometimes we partner with brands that share our values, like we did with " Le petit carré français ." We sent them our best fabric scraps, which they used to make reusable makeup remover wipes and scrunchies. In short, nothing escapes their notice! Everything is fair game in upcycling !

Hand-stuffed cushions by Petits Cadors

And what is the inside of the cushion made of?

Our pillows are delicately filled. We fill them with a fiber made from recycled plastic collected from rivers and streams around the world . This guarantees ultimate comfort and has a significant impact on environmental preservation. The most significant example: an ISIDOR car cushion contains approximately 7 to 8 recycled plastic bottles. That's far from negligible!
Not to mention that the fabric bags in which the fiber is packaged are kept and then returned to our partner on their next delivery for re-entry into the system. Just goes to show: the loop is closed.

plastic recycling

Yes, but doesn't preparing the package cause pollution?

During the order preparation phase, everything begins with printing the order forms. Here, our order picker reduces the size and prints the forms on A5 sheets to minimize paper and ink usage . Furthermore, if any forms have been accidentally printed too many, they are kept so we can jot down our ideas!
There's also the issue of individual packaging, because from a logistical standpoint, we initially used recyclable plastic bags and had a lot of trouble finding new packaging that met our specifications. This has been resolved since last July; we finally found a slightly transparent paper package that allows us to store the cushions while protecting them from dust and ensuring that, whatever happens, your cushion will arrive at your home clean and dry!
As for cardboard and pallets , we collect those destined for destruction from neighboring shops whenever possible, and we use them to ship our parcels to our points of sale: a new life for them. Everything is good to salvage!
And of course, we sort our waste. In fact, we only empty our bin every six weeks!

How can we keep up with trends while respecting the environment?

We all know the unfortunate impact of fashion on the environment… At Cosy Club, we love our planet, but we also love fashion. So, we prioritize small, seasonal collections to avoid excess stock. Out-of-stock items are frustrating, but ultimately, it's a good thing!

Clearly, it is important to remember that every action, even the smallest, can have a real long-term impact.

Psst! With family, friends, or colleagues, organize a cleanup to clean up your environment and remove as much waste as possible. Don't hesitate to bring your Salvador for breaks…
